Your grandpa built that UP steamer? That’s an incredible engine.
God there is some nice engines on this. You can see them best at the end.Gorgeous work. Glad to be an engine builder too. They are all getting ancient and leaving us. Not too many more new builders.
I like that FEF locomotive!
This is one fine layout but, the Los Angles Live Steamers those guys are the Serious HardCores of Live Steam RR’s
how is it perilous? it cant be that perilous if they are doing it in this video
Real modeling
In Japan,Live steam model can’t run over bridge, because of perilous.
I’ve never heard such a fantastic layout
Nice video and nice small trains.
Boy look at all that open country…Fields as far as the eye can see.
Place {The Fantastic Cockcrow Railway} into the search box to check out a nice small line near where I live.
i always wanted to build one with someone but i can not afford to do it
Fantastic video ! Finally someone who can take fantastic shoots and fantastic closeups.
We were driving on those last week on train festival in Owosso,MI Now I reckon I’m in like with these small stinkers
Yes you do and its takes 2-5years to do you can spend a small more money and get them built for at a cost and there not simple to maintane or keep going On some trains you need to have a huge pockets and alot of time and you need to know what youre doing they range from $1,000-$50,000 and a truck or van to transport them
do have to build these trains and if you do how long dose it take?
ITS MANZILLA, make that many MANZILLAS!!!!
Yup, six people lifted it right on the tracks
No, it was 1/8th scale.
Your Right,It Does!!

That whistle nearly sounds like the real UP 844
nice video might wanner check out mine
I helped rerail a 4-8-4 northern one time. Every wheel was on the ground. It took me + five other people and ALOT of leverage. We did manage it though.
it would suck to derail on one of these!
Fantastic engineering….
That Northern is To Sweet, Your grandpa did a Super fine job, I really admire the work and craftsmanship that they place in to this leisure activity…. Nice Job.
You should make a window mount for the camera and give ua a engineers view of a ride around this road… that would be sweet.
do these guys still meet every so often? i’d like to go.
nice post thanks for bringing your camerock
I would build a track going through the united states and then one day ride the train for like a month across the US : D
