Wow I was sure it was HO scale. Looks pretty excellent for N scale. Really sensitive acceleration and deceleration!

Thanks, It took about 8 months to get it up and running. I have since went to another home and it’s now being rebuilt as a single level. I hope to get a new video up soon.

    How fun!

Next time head into a mirror so that we can see how you did this.

Is N scale half HO scale?

    Thank you.

as the train roared across the land, they came upon a land without any color!!!! no brown in the mountains, no green in the grass, just white. The passengers inside started to worry. lol thats an awesome layout!!!

Awesome vid, I like N scale!

I just rode across the continent aboard Superliners a few weeks ago, seeing them on your layout I was imagining myself in the windows looking out at the camera, ha!

yeah it’s fun to drive by the video feed. Layout is in my garage and the monitor is in another room. I’m thinking of doing a layout that is for video driving only. Drive trains around from the engineers seat just need to end the signaling first.
I get most of my video gear from HobbyWireless (dot) com.

I’m HO, but I had no thought N was so detailed! Please tell us what cam did you use and how much was it. Also is real time vid feed to a monitor or store.

I went to a Kato outlet in Japan and it was awesome what they had on show.
You forgot that Tomix isn’t terrible either….and they have the sweet train cam too.
Sweet layout, but the trackwork needs a bit of work, it’s banged out too quick maybe, but the modeling is nice.
    Fantastic post.

You would need to go to your local leisure activity shop or online store and buy a DCC system. Its a small chip that plugs into the DCC plug in, inside your locomotive.

Gorgeous BNSF road colors, I took pictures of the real SD70’s in Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas.
Used to belong to an N scale railroad club too
This is a fantastic model railroad!

  1. No trackbacks yet.
